Who is this guy anyway?

Great question. I’m Ben Brophy, husband to Marion, father to Emmy, Logan, and Hannah. I work in the DC area in communications and government relations. I’m also a bivocational pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church.

I’m from New Jersey originally, which leaves an indelible mark, but I’ve lived in the DC area for 19 years. I received a Masters from American University in Comparative Politics and completed my MDiv at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Grace Under Pressure is a very old blog, with not that many posts on it. I intend to focus on theology and life in the church primarily, with a smattering of reflections on work and life in my 40s. You can also connect with me via LinkedIn if that’s your jam.
